Exams

Examination Procedure

Exams are in an essay form, written on blanks sent by ICM. Most exam papers offer a choice of 5 questions out of 8.

Exams are prepared and evaluated by ICM.

People who are not connected to ESB in any way  whatsoever are invited to watch over and control the writing of exam papers.

Exam schedule

Exams are performed in December, March, June and September.

Registration for exams

Exam registration fees for the first set of exams are included in the total price and registration is done automaticlly. However, students are obliged to fill in and sign registration forms at least 10 weeks before the exams atar.

Schedules of exams and registration dead-lines are posted on ESB notice boards and sites at least 6 weeks in advance.

Ban

Based on lecturer’s evaluation of student’s work and readiness to sit for an exam ESB Colleagiate (the founder, the principal and program coordinators) will decide whather a student may or may not take a particular exam.

Results

Usually, exam results are received within 12 weeks.
Students receive „Examination Entry Results Confirmation Notice“ with the grade, but their papers are not returned.

If a student is not satisfied with the received grade he/she may ask ESB to call for a „Re-check“
within a week after receiving the results. He/she will then receive „Examiners report“ in which the examiner explains how and wgy the particular grade was determined.

This request costs extra, the price is in the ESB Price list.

Grading

ICM grades exams as follows:

A – Distinction 71% and more
B – Credit 61% to 70%
C – Pass 53% to 60%
D – Marginal Pass 51% to 52%
E – Marginal Fail 48% to 50%
F – Fail Less than 48%

During lectures / classes lecturers instruct students on all technical points of exas and teach them how to answer exam questions.
